Where do you get your ideas for blog content from?

All of the content on What Sam Saw Today is original and written by me.  Most of my content comes from experiences in my everyday life – stuff I have seen and/or experienced.  I am a property auction addict, developer, landlord and writer.  I love sharing my stories bad/good/funny/sad and hope by sharing that it will help you benefit – or in the very least think about property from a different angle.

I hear you’ve got a book deal – can you tell me more?

I have book publishing deals for How to Buy Property at Auction and Property Investment: The Essential Rules (Constable Robinson: 2014).  I am currently in talks for more.

I think I’ve seen you in the Evening Standard Homes & Property – are you the same Samantha Collett?

Yes, I do write a regular fortnightly property auction column for the Evening Standard.  I love sharing my property auction tips!

Sorry no, I do not offer any form of courses.  I share my experiences and ideas on my blog and through my writings to give you the ideas so that you can make your own millions!

    Hi,
    Happily, I have just come across your blog…perfect for me as I am currently weighing up the pros and cons on whether a renovation property stacks up as my first proper commercial development. I think it does but am struggling to make sense of where to get finance. I have 30% deposit. Have you done any posts on this subject?, or are you planning to do any? I did think of a buy to let and build the early repayment charge into my costs…it still stacks up quite well….but not sure a bank would allow this as it wouldn’t be occupied due to renovations….
    I love your blog, and look forward to getting well and truly stuck into it….hope I can emulate some of your success!

      Will add your idea to my future post list to look at in more detail.

      I would also say to add to the article above, in recent times, the cost of bridging finance has become more affordable and this may be worth looking into? I have not used this myself, however the key thing I do know, is that you should never start a bridge loan without knowing what your exit plan is.

      I am not a finance specialist which is why I advise always seeking the expert advice of a broker (this is something I do myself).
